Meet The Team
Edwin is a pharmacy student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (UMB SOP). His interests are in regulatory science, the pharmaceutical industry, and in independent pharmacy ownership. Edwin is excited about entrepreneurship and the process involved in designing, launching, and operating a company; allowing new ideas to come to fruition.
Director of Events
Maniraj is a second year medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He has prior experience in entrepreneurship in the social sciences, and has an emerging interest in biomedical entrepreneurship. Creative, solution-oriented thinking drives his approach to learning in the classroom and will guide his career decisions as a future physician-entrepreneur.
Jordan is a pharmacy student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She is interested in optimizing the patient experience through the development of technology that provides patients with both services and solutions. Jordan is currently working on a product to help acquaint patients with their prescription coverage.
Jay is a pharmacy student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He is interested in innovating in the field of pharmacy through a unique background of business and science. Working on various entrepreneurial teams, he is always looking for new and creative ways to disrupt markets. After pharmacy school, Jay looks to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry, hoping to eventually go on to start a company of his own.
The EIN executive board represents multiple schools of the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus. Collectively, we strive to foster an entrepreneurial environment that engages students at UMB.
Ambassadors are the liaison between the entrepreneurial community and the schools they represent. They are the driving force behind effectively advocating for the entrepreneurial needs of their disciplines, and are invaluable assets to the EIN Team.
Camilo is a PhD candidate in the Molecular Medicine program at the University of Maryland Graduate School. He is interested in developing unique biosensors that integrate machine learning to produce high throughput quality data in the hopes of improving early disease intervention. Currently his focus is on expanding the use of proven innovative techniques to solve common problems at the lab bench and developing his company Nanobernetics. He authored a White Paper on the subject of entrepreneurship on UMB’s campus and researched key strategies to implement greater support for budding innovators at the university and greater Baltimore area. Upon graduation he hopes to use his expertise to bridge science and business.
Maria is a first year pharmacy student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She has a degree in both Dietetics and Baking and Pastry Arts and is interested in innovating in the field of pharmacy through her unique background. She is currently open to all fields of pharmacy, but ultimately hopes to establish her own company focusing on individualized medicinal therapy for patients.
Masters of Law Student
Saime is a Masters of Law (LL.M.) student at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law. She graduated from a foreign law school in 2013 and practiced as an attorney over 3 years in the field of corporate law and international taxation. Currently her focus is on technology law. She is interested in applying law to new technologies. She believes the collaboration of different branches for development and innovation.
Jeffrey is a first year Pharmacy Student at UMSOP. He is interested in a wide array of pharmacy fields, particularly the need to advance interprofessional cohesion through synergistic communication. He hopes to learn more about value-based drug pricing and his role in the future of Industry Pharmacy.
